Who Filed Bankruptcy

Check a list of companies against the bankruptcy record

Paste your customer, tenant or subcontractor list. We tell you which names appear in our record of 5,273 business bankruptcy cases, what chapter, and when they filed.

Your list never leaves this page. The case index downloads to your browser and the matching runs there. Nothing you paste is uploaded, logged or stored, because it is never sent anywhere. No account, no email, no charge.

What this can and cannot do

It matches names, and names are not identities. Two unrelated companies share a name constantly, and a subsidiary rarely files under the name on your invoice. Every match links to the case so you can check the court, the case number and the filing date before doing anything about it.

Our coverage is partial and says so. We hold case records reaching back years and docket entries only from 28 July 2026. Cases are still being added. A name we do not have may simply not be collected yet.

Businesses only. We publish company filings, never individuals. If your customer is a sole trader filing personally, they will not be here, and that is deliberate rather than an oversight.

Not legal, credit or financial advice. This is a plain-language summary of a public court record. Bankruptcy outcomes turn on facts specific to each case. If money is at stake for you, talk to a lawyer. Businesses only. We deliberately publish nothing about individual bankruptcy filings.
